Beverly Stewart, M. Ed is the founder of the tutoring service Back to Basics Learning Dynamics and the Back to Basics K-12 Private School, both located in Wilmington, Nationwide.<\/p><\/div>\n

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics<\/a>‘ Director Beverly Stewart, M.Ed, was recently named to the Nationwide Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Small Business Advisory Committee. Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn created the statewide Committee to provide better input from the state\u2019s small business community in the operations of state government. In addition to Stewart, 16 other Committee Members represent a variety of small businesses from all three counties.<\/p>\n

According to the Lieutenant Governor\u2019s office, topics for discussion include improvements to the state\u2019s small business loan programs, providing better information to small businesses about requirements of the Affordable Care Act, controlling workers compensation premiums, and state and county regulations. The Committee\u2019s meetings will be publicized and open to the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a unique opportunity,\u201d says Stewart. \u201cThe Committee is formed from such a diverse group of small business owners that each brings a distinct perspective to the table. The state can only benefit from the combined set of business experiences — ranging from travel to education to real estate, and from hotel and restaurant management to builders and pharmaceuticals.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Small Business Advisory Committee, Stewart is also a Founding Board Member and Director Emeritus, Wilmington Women in Business Foundation; Board of Directors, Success Won\u2019t Wait (reading literacy non-profit); Board of Directors, McNeill Designs for Greater Minds (educational game company); Board of Directors, New Castle County Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors and Founding Board Member, Leon Weiner Education Foundation.<\/p>\n
