Application fee waivers for additional schools are also available for income-qualified students.<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide piloted the College Application Month program in 2012 with just two high schools, Lake Forest and Smyrna. And, the program quickly expanded to 20 high schools by 2013. This year, <em>every high school in the state<\/em> has joined the program, which provides dedicated school time <em>and<\/em> hands-on assistance, to encourage every senior to complete and submit at least one college application.<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide College Application Month is part of a nationwide effort to assist high school seniors in the college application process and increase college attendance. Special focus is placed on first-generation college students or those who otherwise may not have considered applying to college.
