And, those who aren\u2019t? They may face issues which \u201ccan lead to students\u2019 lives\u2019 unraveling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to a recent survey of 1,500 college students conducted by\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jedfoundation.org\/\">Jed Foundation,<\/a>\u00a0a nonprofit group that works to protect the emotional and mental health of students, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.drugfree.org\/\">Partnership for Drug-Free Kids,<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rememberingjordan.org\/\">Jordan Porco Foundation,<\/a>\u00a0which aims to prevent suicide among students,\u00a0<em>a whopping 2 out 3 students<\/em>\u00a0said that they felt emotionally unprepared for college life.<\/p>\n<p>If\u00a0<em>you<\/em>\u00a0have a son or daughter who will be leaving home for the first time this fall (or in a few years), please attend the FREE \u201cCollege Preparedness from a Mental Health Perspective Workshop.\u201d This is an open discussion, forum-style with psychotherapist\u00a0Ken Brick, LCSW.
