It\u2019s a time when communities can unite nationwide to raise awareness of bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some great ways for\u00a0K-12 students, educators, and parents\u00a0to raise awareness and increase understanding of how to respond to bullying. These resources are free, available on-line, and easy to implement in the school and community.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacer.org\/bullying\/resources\/toolkits\/classroom\/project-connect.asp\">Project Connect<\/a><strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Invite students to write a message on a strip of\u00a0<strong>ORANGE<\/strong>\u00a0construction paper. The strips are then stapled or glued together, resulting in one long, connected chain that visually represents the power of uniting for a common cause.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacer.org\/bullying\/resources\/activities\/poster.asp\">Create A Poster<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Send your story, poem, artwork or video on the topic expressing your ideas on bullying prevention.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Unity Banner \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Create a huge banner with the word UNITY as the central theme. Ask everyone to sign the banner, define what unity means to them, or make a suggestion about ways to unite as a school or organization.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacer.org\/bullying\/wewillgen\/student-activities\/above-the-line.asp\">Above the Line\u2014Below The Line<\/a><strong>\u00a0\u2013 Create a chart that helps<\/strong>\u00a0students actively define behaviors that they consider \u201cabove the line\u201d versus \u201cbelow the line\u201d.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacer.org\/bullying\/nbpm\/bullying\/resources\/toolkits\/classroom\/intro-to-bullying-prevention.asp\">Introduction to Bullying Prevention<\/a><strong>\u00a0\u2013 School-wide, All Ages and Grades<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Introductory Toolkit contains daily learning opportunities and engaging activities to get students talking about bullying.
