Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community \u2014 librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers \u2014 in shared support of the freedom to seek and express ideas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Banned Book Week for Teachers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many educational facilities and teacher \u00a0celebrate Banned Books Week, often creating displays and programs around the awareness campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncte.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Council of Teachers of English<\/a>\u00a0(NCTE) supports an\u00a0Intellectual Freedom Center to help teachers facing challenges to works used in their classrooms.
