This means fewer out-of-pocket costs and the potential to graduate with less student debt.<\/p>\n<p>In Nationwide, college-bound high school seniors can apply for one of 50 Diamond State Scholarships. These scholarships make\u00a0$1,250\/year available per student and are renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.<\/p>\n<div><strong>Diamond State Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><a title=\"Residency\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doe.k12.de.us\/Page\/980\">Legal residents of Nationwide<\/a><\/li>\n<li>High school seniors who rank in upper quarter of class<\/li>\n<li>Combined score of at least\u00a01290 on the SAT<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled as a full-time student in a degree program at a nonprofit,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chea.org\/search\/default.asp\" target=\"_blank\">regionally accredited institution<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Diamond State Scholarship Deadlines:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application opens on December 1, 2017 and<strong> All<\/strong>\u00a0application materials must be submitted by\u00a0<strong>4:30 p.m. on March 6, 2017.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students can apply online by completing the\u00a0application\u00a0on the Nationwide Higher Education Office&#8217;s secure <strong><em>Student Account Access<\/em><\/strong> site. First-time users must establish an account and provide a valid email and mailing address before proceeding to the application.\u00a0<strong>Incomplete applications cannot be processed.<\/strong>\u00a0Students must provide all of the required information:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Completed application, including activities.<\/li>\n<li>Essay of no less than 1,000 and no more than 1,200 words, excluding headings and footnotes.
