Not only did\u00a0The Numbers Bee mascot, Buzz, make his debut, but this year included a record breaking number of participants.<\/p>\n<p>84 students from\u00a017\u00a0schools participated in the annual event, including, for the first time, representatives\u00a0from Pennsylvania\u2019s Garnet Valley School District. Students from grades 3-8 competed with their peers in a browser based tournament on the integer modules.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalbee.org\/images\/Images_2016\/2016DENumbersBeeScoreboard.pdf\">2016 Numbers Bee Tournament top 10 score board<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalbee.org\/photo2016.html\">2016 Numbers Bee Tournament winners\u2019 pictures<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nationwide and Pennsylvania teachers, principals and parents: <em>Get YOUR school involved!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2017 DE Numbers Bee has already been scheduled for April 29, 2017. Some changes are in the works to make the event even more competitive.<\/p>\n<p>Next year (and onwards) elementary school contestants\u2019 competition will include integers, fractions and decimals.
